Zuma Henderson Mollison

Zuma Henderson Mollison, 73, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020. Zuma graduated from Pine Crest School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and graduated with an education degree from Colorado Women’s College in Denver, Colorado. She met and married Steven Mollison, and together they had two children, Jennifer and Richard. Zuma was a teacher and paraprofessional for more than thirty years with Polk County Public Schools. She is preceded in death by Steven. Zuma is survived by her two children, nine grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. Zuma was distinctive, passionate, and energetic. She was unique, and not just because of her name. Zuma had a way of standing out and making an impression on those she met, and especially as a role model to her family. As an educator, she relished the challenges and successes of teaching children. Zuma loved to dance, even as a passenger in a car. She was a loving, devoted mother that would remind her family to always remain positive and put a little love in our hearts.
