Wylene Bender Kelley, 84 Homemaker Lakeland " Wylene Bender Kelley, 84, died August 1, 2011, after an extended bout with Alzheimer""s. Wylene was born November 2, 1926 in Plant City, FL. She graduated from Plant City High School in 1945 where she was a 4 year cheerleader and attended Florida State University. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland. Wylene was also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Greater Lakeland, a past president of the P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter W, (the 3rd of 4 generations in the same chapter) and a long time member of the Contemporary Club. She was predeceased by her parents, Edgar A. and Eleanor Tracy Bender of Plant City, her brother Jack of Plant City, and her son Michael of Winter Park. Wylene is survived by her husband of 62 years, E.E. ""Mike"" Kelley, daughters, Denise Crenshaw (Ed) of Lakeland and Tracy Gaines (Gary) of Gainesville, GA., granddaughters, Kelley Friedman (Courtney) of Charleston, SC., and Michelle Crenshaw of Atlanta, GA., grandsons, Brad Crenshaw (Hilary) of Lakeland, Graham Gaines, Gainesville, GA., Neil Gaines (Margaret) of Gainesville, GA., Christopher Kelley, Orlando, Connor Kelley, Orlando, daughter-in-law, Carol Kelley of Orlando, sisters, Jean Sigman of Ft. Myers, and Inez Szczepanik of Sun City, and sister-in-law, Emily Bender of Plant City. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland, 175 Lake Hollingsworth Dr., Lakeland, FL. 33803.
