William C. Renfranz

William Charles Renfranz 91 Engineer for International Minerals & Chemical Corp. Lakeland- Mr. William Charles Renfranz died on September 21, 2011 at his home. He was born February 24, 1920 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Renfranz served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers during World War II serving in England, France and the Philippines. He was on the Board for IMC-CF Federal Credit Union and also the Polk County Association of Handicapped Citizens. He was Chairman of the Purdue Club of Lakeland and a Graduate of Purdue University, on the Board of Handicap Group Living and was an active Scout Leader. He loved his family, his dogs, cribbage and bridge, sailing, good music, a good pun, maps, and racquetball. He was preceded in death by his wife Winifred Renfranz and his sons, Stephen Bruce Renfranz and Robert Renfranz and his grandson Eli Renfranz. Survivors include sons, Donald Renfranz, Okeechobee, Fl., Christopher Renfranz, Norwood, Ma., daughters, Margaret (Mark Kesler) Renfranz, Westwood, Ma., Patricia (David Blair) Renfranz, Salt Lake City, Utah, 7 grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Alliance for Independence, 1038 Sunshine Drive East Lakeland, FL 33801-6338. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday September 28, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Carpenter""s Estates private dining room. Interment will be held on Friday September 30, 2011 at 1 P.M. at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
