William “Bill, Billy” Swift Jr. May 22, 1938 ------ May 25, 2017 The Son of William Vincent Swift Sr., and Christine H. Swift. He was a graduate of Florida Southern College and began is working Career with “Davie Power”, mulberry High School in shop, and Palatka schools In the “shop” for several Years. He finally returned to Lakeland to work in the” shop” called Swift’s Shoe repair. Once when Christine realized that Bill had learned the trade, she sold the “shop” to him. He was the sole owner until his retirement and his son Eric Swift took the “shop” over and still to this day does a beautiful workmanship and is proud of his achievements. Bill was an avid golfer, Billiards player and was good with his crossword puzzles and Cryptographs. It was during the golfing games that his friends gave him the name “NOT TOO”. He even had a license plate made with this wording and put is on the front of his car. He was proud of this. He was a wonderful brother with a lot of wisdom
