Wayne Nelson Brumbley

Lakeland – Wayne Nelson Brumbley, 74, died on February 28, 2021. He was born on August 6, 1946 in Salisbury, Maryland. Wayne graduated from Wicomico Senior High School on June 1965 and enlisted in the Air Force on December 10, 1965. He served in the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. He then worked as an installer for the telephone company. Wayne was known for his volunteer work for disabled American veterans. He loved his family and always made time for his daughter and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mildred Catherine and Romie Brumbley; brother, Donald Brumbley and sister, Margaret. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Brumbley LaFerrara (Troy); three grandchildren, Branden Chase, Chandler Andrew, and Clarissa Paige; and brother, Roland Brumbley. A viewing will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021, from 11-12 with the service following at 12:00 P.M. at Heath Funeral Chapel. The burial will follow at Serenity Gardens in Lakeland, Florida.
