Virginia Ruth Walling

Lakeland - Virginia Ruth Walling, age 71, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 18th, 2018. She was born on October 22, 1946, in Bartow, FL, to ND and Virginia Bryan. Ruth was a lifetime resident of Polk County and retired from the Polk County Building Division. She was a member of Highland Park Church of the Nazarene. Ruth loved her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren more than she loved anything else in her life. She also enjoyed reading, shopping, traveling, going out to eat, and watching football. She had a great love for her country, law enforcement, and we can’t forget her favorite sheriff, Grady Judd. She was preceded in death by her father, ND Bryan. She is survived by her daughter, Allison Norstrom (David); her two grandsons, Logan Norstrom and Noah Norstrom; her mother, Virginia Bryan; her sister, MaryAnn Tallman (Ray); and all her beloved nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene, 4777 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL 33813 on Monday, July 23 at 10:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment at: Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, FL 33812.
