Obituary Virginia M. Pembleton, 82, Lakeland " Virginia M. Pembleton passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, due to a stroke surrounded by family and friends. She was born July 1, 1929, in Georgetown, KY, the first child of Henry and Frances Shepard Moreland. On June 11, 1977, she married Homer A. Pembleton, and he survives. Virginia\'s commitment to service to others was demonstrated by her many mission trips to Honduras with the Presbytery of Tampa Bay, as well as her ministry to local nursing home residents as \"Rosebud\" the clown. She is survived by her husband Homer, two brothers, Henry Moreland, Jr. of Woodstock, NY, and Charles Moreland of Hartford City, IN, her children Kathy (Mike) Rudolph, of Freetown, IN, Bob (Tracy) Thompson of Littleton, CO, and Holly (Leon) Bishop of Mulberry, FL, as well as step-children, David (Kappy) Pembleton of Sarasota, Tom (Marcia) Pembleton of Dallas, TX, and JoAnn Bryant of Dallas, TX. Virginia had 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, March 12, at 10:00 a.m. at Presbyterian Church in the Highlands, 1010 Lake Miriam Dr., Lakeland, FL 33813 followed by a memorial service at 11:00. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Church in the Highlands.
