Virginia Lee ""Ginny"" Ford Lakeland Virginia Lee ""Ginny"" Ford went to be with her Lord April 29, 2015. Born to Susie and Delbert Stalnaker in Akron, Ohio, she lived there for 30 years. Raised Baptist, she later was active also in Presbyterian and Methodists churches. She taught Sunday school from an early age, and led junior high youth groups for many years. She was a leader and troop organizer for Girl Scouts. Her hobbies include bridge, golf, crafts and swimming. She was an accomplished seamstress, having studied dressmaking and fashion design following high school. Ginny was married to Robert ""Bob"" Ford for 48 years until his death in 1989. They enjoyed traveling and camping in their travel trailer. They lived in Jefferson, Ohio about 15 years before retiring to Arizona. She is survived by daughter; Dorothy ""Dotty"" Reuschling (Thomas), two granddaughters; Renee Brooks (William) and Tracy Goode (Hunter), and 4 great grandchildren, Christopher and Stephen Brooks, and Caroline and Suzanna Goode. We are grateful for the life and Christian witness of our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VISTE of Lakeland. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, Lakeland, FL 33801, in the chapel. A reception will follow.
