Virginia L. Thompson

Virginia L. Thompson, 93 Lakeland, Virginia L. Thompson, 93, of Lakeland, FL, went to be with God on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, William, sons Ronald and Kerry. She is survived by her son's Richard and wife Sue, David and wife Carol, daughter Linda Garrett and husband Raymond and daughter in law Lesley, sister, Jean Terry, 16 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Thompson was born in LaPorte, IN, a retired librarian of Akron, Ohio, school system and longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Lakeland and very active in the community for 30 plus years. Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 25, at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 72 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland, FL.
