Vera Gandy Hall Wilder

Lakeland –Vera E. Gandy Hall Wilder, 92, passed away surrounded by a loving family, March 26, 2018, at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. Vera was born April 3, 1925, to John Council Gandy and Georgia Ann Mobley. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband of 47 years, Rex Cribbins Hall, and her second husband of 5 weeks, Haynes B. Wilder. She is survived by her son, Terry A. Hall (Mary), and daughter, Kay L. Johnson (Bryan). She has 3 grandchildren, Bruce (Amy), Mary Ann (Madison) and Christy (Brandon), and 7 great- grandchildren. Vera was born and raised in the historic Socrum Loop area of Lakeland with 3 brothers and 2 sisters, all now deceased. She graduated from Kathleen High School and Lakeland Business College and was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her career was spent as a homemaker, and working for the City of Lakeland and the Watson Clinic.
