Thomas J. Day

Thomas J. Day 83 Horse Racetrack Security Lakeland- Mr. Thomas J. Day died on August 5, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of renal failure. He was born July 23, 1928 in New York, New York. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Purple Heart and two Oak Leaf Clusters. Mr. Day was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of the VFW and the Korean War Veterans Association. He is survived by his older brother, John Day, Galena, Ohio, and sister, Catherine Smith, Lakeland A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
