Thomas J. Chindamo, 51, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013. Thomas was born to Michael and Lee Chindamo in Long Island, New York. He graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, with a B.S. in Business and a minor in Electronics. For most of his professional life, Thomas worked in the Aeronautical Electronics industry. Thomas was a very accomplished drummer and studied with world-renowned drum instructors Al Miller and Dom Famularo. He was also the drummer for noted recording artists Bruce Dedrick from The Free Design and for sister-in-law Claudia Chindamo of Spectrum BC. Thomas loved nothing more than spending time with his beloved children, Thomas and Lauren. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Thomas believed life should be lived with honesty, integrity, and compassion for those less fortunate. Thomas is survived by two children, Thomas and Lauren; his mother Lee; his brother Michael; his sisters Barbara, Joyce, and Patty; and his very dear and beloved Shirley. Services will be held Tuesday, June 25 at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene, Family Ministries Building (East Campus), 4777 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL. Family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
