Thomas Arthur Elliott

Thomas A. Elliott Business Owner/ Realtor Lakeland – Thomas A. Elliott, 88, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018. Husband to Sarah “Becky” Elliott; they shared fifty-eight years. Born in Orlando, Florida, on June 18, 1929, son of Jacob A. Elliott and Vera F. Timmons. He graduated from Kathleen High School, enlisted in the US Navy and is a veteran of the Korean War, and later attended the University of Virginia. Thomas was an Episcopalian. He served as a Vice President of Peoples Bank of Lakeland for twenty- five years and, together with his wife Becky, owned and operated Elliott & Company Better Homes & Gardens for thirty years prior to retiring. He was a member of both the Masonic Lodge and Kathleen Lions Club for fifty-five years, served as President of the Lakeland Board of Realtors, and was a member of the Kathleen Historic Society. Thomas loved his family and the years they spent on the Chassahowitzka River, helping others and helping to build the Kathleen Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his son, David M. Elliott, and grandson, Samuel Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Becky; sons, Edwin A. Elliott and Stephen T. Elliott; grandson, Hunter T. Elliott; and granddaughters, Sarah E. Elliott and Hannah A. Elliott. Service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:30 am with visitation at 11:00 am prior to the service and a reception following at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801.
