Theodore “Ted” Willard Weeks III Lakeland- Theodore “Ted” Willard Weeks III, age 71, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in Lakeland, FL. Born in Ft. Myers, FL on September 16, 1947, the first son of Ted W. Weeks Jr. and Anne Joyner. Ted graduated Lakeland Senior High School in 1965, where he met and began dating his wife, Sharon Sweet in the ninth grade. Following high school, Ted attended the University of South Florida where he graduated in 1969 with a degree in Communications, and in the same year he and Sharon were married. After graduation, Ted attended law school at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, AL, and due to a family member’s illness relocated back to Florida in 1970 to complete and receive his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, FL. Ted worked for a federal judge for a short time before returning to Lakeland, where he opened his own law practice focused primarily in the areas of family law and criminal defense law. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William Weeks. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; and sister, Marian Lanier of Pompano Beach, FL; his son, Ted (Jessica) of Lakeland, FL; his daughter Liesl of Lakeland, FL; and two granddaughters Marley Jay and Finley of Lakeland, FL. Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, FL on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that memorial donations to the American Cancer Society at P.O.
