Terry Lee Hicks, Sr.

Terry “Big Terry” Hicks, Sr., 62, of Lakeland passed away June 8, 2017. Terry was born September 15, 1954 in Plant City, Florida to Thomas C. and Lina M. Hicks. “Big Terry” enjoyed going fishing and was a grilling master. He loved listening to music; Jazz and Rock were two of his favorites. Car racing was also a favorite past time for Terry, he found excitement in the thrill of the race and the sound of the cars flying by. Most of all, he treasured his family and the time they spent making memories. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Charles Hicks, Sr. Terry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Danette Hicks; son, Terry Lee Hicks, Jr. (Theresa); daughter, Jessica Wilson (Carl); grandchildren, Nikki Wilson, Jessalyn Wilson, Delanie Wilson, Grace Hicks; mother, Lina Hicks and brother, Thomas Charles Hicks, Jr. (Dawn). A memorial service will be held to honor Terry‘s life at Willow Oak Baptist Church, 3390 Willow Oak Rd, Mulberry, FL 33860, on Sunday June 25 at 2:00 pm
