Obit for Steven Earl Jones Steven Earl Jones, age 55, lost his battle with cancer on Sat., June 1, 2013. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 22, 1958 and moved to Lakeland with his family at the age of 2. During his life he worked for Palm Harbor Mobile Homes and at Rooms To Go Warehouse. Steve was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and was crazy about his dog Baybay. He was predeceased in death by his father Clarence Earl Jones Jr. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jones, the children of his heart, Ryne Gillespie (Shannon) and Anthony Illgen, his mother Myrine Catherine Jones, sisters Judy Vandiver (Terry), Peggy Neslund (Scott), Tina Neal, and Mary Guffey. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 4 at the Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S Ingraham Ave at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
