Stephanie Eaton Thompson

Stephanie Eaton Thompson Lakeland - Stephanie Eaton Thompson, 62, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017. She is survived by her son, Evan Thompson, brother, David Eaton, sisters, Lisa Eaton Milone and Debbie Eaton, nephews David Eaton, Jr., Dylan Breyer, Joey Milone, and nieces, Meghan McCormick and Mallory McCormick. She is predeceased by her parents, Charles Eaton, Jr. and Jean Buttorff Eaton, and her stepmother, Polly Eaton. She is also predeceased by two nieces, Leona Eaton and Corinna Eaton. Stephanie was a first grade teacher at Pinewood Elementary School in Winter Haven, and she loved each of her students. She was sad to have left her students so early this past school year, and wanted to return to teaching even as her illness worsened. She was a wonderful mother, sister, friend, and teacher. She had such strength and grace, and throughout her illness worried more about those around her than herself. She loved her family with a full heart, and she cherished her friends.
