Solomon Joseph Hennecy, Jr. 90 Railroad Engineer Lakeland- Mr. Solomon Joseph Hennecy, Jr. died on March 21, 2016 at his home. He was born November 16, 1925 in Lakeland, Florida. Mr. Hennecy served in the United States Army Air Corps as an Aviation Cadet during World War II. He was a member of the Rock Community Church. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and retired from Seaboard Coastline after 40 years of service. Mr. Hennecy was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Hennecy and his son, Joe Allen Hennecy. Survivors include son, Bruce (Laura) Hennecy, Lakeland, daughter, Jan (Kevin) LaLonde, Lakeland, six grandchildren, Brian Hennecy, Robin Price, Kara Burton, Kyle Hennecy, Jason LaLonde, Allie Torrence, six great grandchildren and brother, Raymond Hennecy.
