Scott Donald Swonger

Scott Swonger 53, of Lakeland Florida passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Health Center, surrounded by love ones. Scott was born on August 23, 1962, at Lackland Air Force base, Texas, to his parents Carl and Darlene Swonger. He moved with his family to Lakeland in 1974. Scott graduated from Kathleen High School in 1980. Scott played in the large and famous Kathleen marching band of 1977 -1980. Scott joined the Air force in 1982 and was an Armament System Specialist Technician. He was loved by everyone who met him and a very giving man to those that needed his help. He was a member of Kathleen Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Father, Carl Swonger. Survivors include his sons Justin Swonger, Blake Swonger, Dylan Swonger, daughters, Autumn Swonger, Megan Swonger. Mother, Darlene Swonger, five grandchildren, Brothers, Steve Swonger, Danny Swonger and Mark Swonger,.and Scott's love, Rhonda Spradlen. Funeral, Thursday, February 25th, At Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., Lakeland, FL 33801. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. -- 2:00 P.M.
