Sarah Swift of Lakeland passed away on Monday, June 11, 2016, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center at the age of 70. She was born on May 3, 1946, in Richmond, Georgia. The youngest of seven, she was raised in Perry, Georgia, and graduated from Perry High School. Sarah then attended Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and Columbus College of Nursing. In 1965, she married Richard Swift and together they relocated to Lakeland, Florida, where they raised 3 children, Phillip, Laura, and Christopher. Sarah worked for many years as an office manager for Drs. Dorman and Harman Pediatrics. After raising her three children, she served as the Healthcare Administrator for a local assisted living community. A caring soul, Sarah was very hospitable, and enjoyed making sure that everyone around her was taken care of to the fullest southern degree. She will be greatly missed. Sarah is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard; her children Phillip Swift (Christine) and Laura Hartman; grandchildren Victoria, William, and Elizabeth, and great-grandchild Mackenzie. Additionally, she is survived by her brother Dan Adkinson (Olivia) from Grady, AL; and sisters Caroline Harrison (Charles) from Grovania, GA, and Anges Farr from Kathleen, GA. She was predeceased by her mother, father, two brothers, two sisters, son Christopher, and her granddaughter Ashley. The family will be hosting visitation on Thursday July 14, 2016 at Heath Funeral Chapel from 5 to 6 with services immediately following.
