She was born on July 25, 1953 in Jacksonville, FL and was employed by the Florida Department of Citrus. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony ""Tony"" Pate; father Laudis Hicks and brother Kenneth Hicks; Survived by her son Bryan Pate of Lakeland and daughter Michelle (Javier) Gonzalez of Lakeland; mother Marjorie Hicks and 1 grandson Alex Gonzalez. A visitation will be held on Friday December 28, 2012 from 5-7 P.M. at Trinity Life Church with a funeral service to follow on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at the church.
