Sam Scilluffo, 95, passed away peacefully after a long-life on August 8, 2020 in Lakeland FL. He was born July 27, 1925 in Chicago IL. Sam was preceded in death by his wife Rose and his 7 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving sons Joseph (Debbie) and James (Lori), grandchildren Samantha and Camen, 4 great grandchildren, many dear nieces, nephews and friends. Sam was in the truest sense of the word an entrepreneur. From early in his career when he sold sewing needles and other miscellaneous items to pay for his first dump truck to his first company, Asamchet Trucking to servicing vending machines, to owning a Chicken Unlimited franchise to ultimately inventing and patenting grocery cart seat belts for children. Even into the last years of his life enjoying his favorite television show, Shark Tank, his entrepreneurial spirit was evident. When I think of Dad and Mom, I think of the overly generous couple who adopted 2 babies and gave them the most wonderful childhood anyone could imagine. Rest in peace, Dad.
