Ruth Catherine Smith, 88 Homemaker Lakeland-Ruth Catherine Smith was born on December 11, 1924 in Atlantic City, New Jersey and passed away on July 26, 2013 in Lakeland, FL due to a stroke. Ruth was the loving wife of Hilbert Smith who passed away in 2003. She is survived by her four children: Gary Smith and wife, Pat; Barbara Lineberger; Patricia Ehrle and husband, Ken; Beverly Rousseau and husband, William; five grandchildren: Kyle Lineberger and wife, Kristin; Craig Blackburn; Ryan Lineberger and wife, Jessica; Katie Rousseau and Beth Rousseau; one great-grandchild, Simone Lineberger. Ruth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her role as family matriarch. Ruth was a devoted Catholic who shared her faith with her family. Ruth""s funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at St. Joseph""s Catholic Church. 210 W. Lemon St., Lakeland, FL 33801 at 10:30 am. Visitation and rosary will be held at 10:00 am.
