Ruth Ann Bickel

Ruth Ann Bickel (née Weldele), 90, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on October 11, 2023. Ruth was born in Saint Louis, MO, and lived in Green Cove Springs, FL, prior to moving to Lakeland, FL, to be near her family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John, of 68 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Daniels (Ken) and Patricia Bazley (Robert), and son, John Bickel (Johanna), four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth retired from the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Courts in Clay County, FL, where she was an Administrative Assistant. Ruth enjoyed reading, gardening, and crossword puzzles. In her youth, she was active in her church and enjoyed playing volleyball and bowling.

Ruth will be interred with her husband, John, in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Saint Louis, MO.

A funeral Mass will be held for Ruth at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 501 E Carter Rd., Lakeland, FL 33813, at 10 am on Friday, October 20, 2023.
