Russell D. Hatch, Lakeland, FL Formerly of Franklinville, died Saturday (Oct. 28, 2017) at his home under hospice care. He was born Sept. 10, 1928 to Donald F. and Florence (Judge) Hatch in Olean, NY. Mr. Hatch married Betty B. Creamer in Franklinville on Sept. 30, 1950 who predeceased by Jan. 31, 1993. After graduating from Ten Broeck Academy in 1946, he worked as a dairy farmer, contractor, lumber yard owner and woodworker, retiring in 2016. Surviving are a daughter, Martha E. Gordon) Cronk of Lakeland, FL, and a son Russell D. (Kathryn) Hatch II of Franklinville. He is also survived by 4 grand children: Ashley (Michael) Pierson of Lakeland, FL, Martin (Cassie) Hatch of Franklinville, Elizabeth (Max) Detwiler of Norristown, PA, and Emily (Jason) Fox of Franklinville, and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, and a son Martin R. Hatch. Friends may gather with the family on Saturday from 1-2 pm at the First Baptist Church, 27 S. Main St. Franklinville, where his memorial service will be held at 2pm, with Rev. Pete Spear pastor celebrating his life. Burial will take place in Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Franklinville.
