Roberta “Bobbi” Jean Rynd, 76, of Lakeland, passed away September 13, 2022.
Born Dec. 2, 1945, in Jackson, MI, Roberta was a daughter of the late Ray and Rachel Turner Wheeler. When she was two years old, she and her family moved to Kalamazoo. When she was seven, they moved to Niles, MI, for a year and then to Mendon, MI, where she attended and graduated from Mendon High School. She then attended Beauty College and was a cosmetologist for most of her life.
She married James Lupori, and they had a son Anthony (Tony) Lupori. After they divorced, she married William Rynd, who had two sons and three adopted children. Bobbi raised William’s youngest son, Joshua Rynd, who was very special to her.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her niece, Lisa Babcock Barton, and her stepson, Roger Rynd.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Lupori; granddaughter, Ahna (Alex) Kasper; sister, Janet (Richard) Babcock; stepsons, William Rynd and Richard Rynd; stepdaughter, Dixie Fackler; special son, Joshua Rynd; and former husbands James Lupori and William Rynd.
Bobbi was very active in her church and sang in and directed the choir. She had a strong faith and was also faithful to her friends. She was smart, funny, and creative and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We are blessed to know that she is now with Jesus.
