Robert Stanley Morton

Robert Stanley Morton, 74, of Lakeland, passed away on January 28, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janis King Morton.

Born on June 28, 1948, in Tifton, GA, Stan was the son of the late William L. and Laura Morton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Morton, and nephew, Shawn Morton.

Mr. Morton was a United States Navy veteran who served as part of the Seabees in Vietnam. He was the owner of Bill Morton Irrigation.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his sister, Lorna Terry) Potter; a daughter, Amanda M. (Chris) Karaba, and her children, Alyssa and Jacob Morton; stepchildren, Curtis (Ashley) Stull, Matthew Stull, and Tricia (Joey) Scott, 11 grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 4 nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
