Robert Edward Cherryhomes

Robert Edward Cherryhomes, Kite, GA – Robert Edward Cherryhomes passed away January 4, 2018 in Kite, GA. He was born August 16, 1947 in Lakeland, FL to Ira and Juanita Harris Cherryhomes. He graduated from Lakeland High School in 1966 and then received his Associates Degree from Polk Junior College in 1969. Also, he served in the Air Force. Robert and his wife, Charlotte, both retired from GTE in 1994. They lived in Englewood, FL for 10 years and in Kite, GA for the past 25 years. Robert was Baptist and he loved his children and grandchildren. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Preceding him in death were his parents and his son, Billy Dale Cherryhomes. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Cherryhomes; his son, Robert John Cherryhomes (Marcy); his daughter, Tiffany Ballard (Barney); stepson, Joey Langley, and many loving family and friends. A reception will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm in The Tribute Center at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801 with a service to follow at 2:00 pm, then a burial at Oak Hill Burial Park.
