Robert E. Daigle, Sr. 93 Citrus Sales Lakeland – Mr. Robert E. Daigle, Sr. died on October 24, 2018, at Grace Manor at Lakeland Morton. He was born on July 1, 1925, in Bangor, Maine. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II as a B17 Ball Turret Gunner. He was a high school teacher and coach before he began his career in the citrus industry, which brought him to Florida. Bob was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Lakeland and a charter member of the Bykota Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Board of Trustees and served over 20 years on the weekly financial team. His proudest accomplishments at the church was his involvement and leadership in the development, planning and building of the church’s Columbarium. Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Zelma J. Daigle, daughters, Cindy (Ralph) Holthouser, Beth (Wade) Harvey, son, Rob (Lori) Daigle, Jr., Five grandchildren, Andrea and Holt Holthouser, Tori (Tripp) LeMieux, Kurt Harvey, Chloe Daigle, and two great grandsons, Finn and Wells LeMieux. Bob was the third of seven children and is survived by two sisters, Joanne Roberts and Ruthie Paulette and two brothers, Warren and Karl. After his retirement, Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and watching his son play softball. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 72 Lake Morton Dr., Lakeland, Florida 33801. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church.
