Robbie (Gizmo) McCracken Wallach Lakeland " Robbie McCracken Wallach, 87, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015. She was the eighth of ten children born to Robert and MaryJane McCracken on May 20, 1928, in Socrum, FL. Robbie was a ""Strawberry Girl"" attending school during the summers, allowing her and her siblings To work in the strawberry fields during the winter months. Early in her life she was a server at Reececliff and later acted as a nursing assistant to the elderly. Robbie enjoyed laughing and entertaining friends, cooking for crowds, dancing and gardening. She loved being outdoors and regretted the invention of air conditioning. She was preceded in death by her husband E. Edward Wallach and son, Terry Brooks. She was survived by one daughter, Sandy Brooks, beloved granddaughter Francis Brooks, 14, and her namesake Chihuahua, Bobbie She was a favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews. Robbie was cherished by many friends, new and old. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 5:00 " 7:00 pm at Heath Funeral Chapel 328 South Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801. A private burial will take place later in the week.
