Richard Flan Williams

Richard Flan Williams, “Dick” 83, of Lakeland, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

He was born on December 16, 1941, in Utica, NY, son of the late David and Mary Williams. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Maryellen LaGray, Joan Vine and Sara Cozza.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janice Claire Williams; sons, David Williams, Johnson City, NY; Kyle (Heidi) Williams, Walden, NY; and Cory (Richelle) Williams, Dingmans Ferry, PA: cherished grandchildren, Abby, Tyler, and Grace Williams; and Ali (Logan) Sonner; great grandchildren, Lillian Elizabeth and Logan Clarke Sonner; brothers, Don (Judy) Williams and Jimmy (Mary) Williams; sisters, Sue Kratzenburg, and Ann Rose; many nieces and nephews, and special loved ones, John and Nick Inserra.

Dick was a member of the Iron Workers Union, Local 440 since 1963. He joined Willowvale Fire Co. in Chadwicks, NY where he became an honorary member. His hobbies included hunting, woodworking, and carpentry. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a loving foster father to 7 children.
