Ralph G. Felts, 83 FBI Agent Lakeland - Ralph G. Felts, age 83 of Lakeland, Florida, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of heart failure. He was born on November 30, 1928, in Galax, Virginia. Ralph went to work for the FBI in 1945. He then served honorably in the US Air Force from 1951-1955. Ralph went back to work for the FBI and also attended Southeastern University in Washington, D.C. Upon graduation, he became a Special Agent with the FBI in 1957. While serving in the FBI, Ralph and his family lived in Washington, D.C., Detroit, MI, Cincinnati, OH, Dayton, OH, Trenton, NJ and Minneapolis, MN. He retired after 34 years of government service. Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time at the lake. In his later years he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He especially loved all the friends he had at Reececliff Family Diner in Lakeland, FL. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents of Galax, VA, and his brothers Gray and Dale. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Lou, and his five children: Ralph Felts, Jr. and his wife Doreen, of Bemidji, MN, Kathy Goodrich and husband Don, of Webster, MN, Melody Pahr and husband Jeff, of Eden Prairie, MN, Kevin Felts and wife Lisa, of Burnsville, MN, Pam Lewandowski of Lakeland, FL, and his eleven grandchildren. Ralph is also survived by his loving sisters, Joyce Young of Manassas, VA, and Janice Harris of San Diego, CA. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was very precious to him. Memorial Services will be held at a later date at United Methodist Temple, Lakeland, FL, and Fort Snelling National Cemetery, in Minneapolis, MN.
