Querida Catherine Marti

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Que Marti. Que passed away peacefully at home in Lakeland on January 7, 2025.

Que was born on October 30, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York to Frank and Catherine Marti.

She worked as Vice President of Purchasing for Publix Employees Federal Credit Union and retired in 2017 after 35 years of dedicated service.

Que is survived by her sister Marguerita Menard, her daughter Marlene Sullenburger, her daughter Meredith Grier (David), grandchildren Brendon Collins (Caroline), Jeremy Collins (Jenna), Justin Collins and Hudson Grier, and great grandchild Milo Collins.

Que loved the beach, shelling, travel, gardening and was known as “the cat whisperer”. She was full of life, loved meeting people, and her family was most important. She was a rock, a source of strength for many people and a great listener with a million-dollar smile.

A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a future date.
