She was born on August 29, 1926 in Crystal Falls Township, Michigan to Andrew and Pauline Saundri. She proudly worked for Jimbo""s for 42 years. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph""s Catholic Church since 1945. She served as an Eucharistic Minister, President of the Women""s Catholic Association, and 1995 St Joseph""s Council of Catholic Women; Woman of the Year. Prena was 1 of 13 children; 9 girls and 4 boys. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Charles A. Thomas Sr. and her son James ""Jimmy"" Thomas; She is survived by her children; Charlene A. Lewis and husband Joe; Donald P. Thomas and wife Debra G., Charles ""Chuck"" A. Thomas Jr; 1 sister; Bertina Haybrock of Chicago, IL and 1 brother Robert Saundri of Crystal Falls, MI; her grandchildren Tommy Rodgers, Melissa Johnston, Kyle Thomas, and Kurt Thomas; 5 Great Grandchildren; A viewing will be held on Thursday October 23, 2014 from 5-7P.M. at Heath Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 24, 2014 at St. Joseph""s Catholic Church at 2:00 P.M. with the interment to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Monsignor Caulfield Foundation at St. Joseph""s Catholic Church.
