Polly Penn Forehand

Polly Penn Forehand, 83 Registered Nurse Lakeland " Polly Penn Forehand was born on November 27, 1929 in Paducah, KY and passed away on June 24, 2013 due to a stroke. She and her family moved to Lakeland in 1936. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Penn, her mother, Mary Elizabeth Penn, and her devoted husband of sixty three years, Cooper Forehand, Jr. She was a loving mother to Ann Cooper Forehand, Mary Elizabeth Forehand Geary, Foster Hicks Forehand (Nancy), and Kay Forehand Betz. She had three wonderful grandchildren she loved very much, Patrick Neil Geary, Laura Cooper Geary, and Kim Reynolds-Gier (David). She will be missed dearly by her brother, Buddy Penn, sister-in-law, Harriet (Doll) Jago, cousin, Marilee Truitt, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church for over sixty years and a member of PEO Chapter O. She was a past volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for many years and retired as a Registered Nurse from Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, from 5-7 pm at Heath Funeral Chapel Tribute Center. A service will be held on Saturday, June 29, at 10 am at First United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
