Pauline Clair Roux

Pauline Clair Roux, 92 Lakeland " Pauline Clair Roux died on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. She moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1959, from Des Moines, Iowa, where she was the Personnel Director for the Des Moines Register. She was office manager at Bertram International Yacht Brokerage in Ft. Lauderdale until she retired in 1972. She and her husband, Sam Rice, who predeceased her, moved to Lakeland to manage their real estate investments. In 1985, she married Dr. Stuart Roux, who predeceased her. During her retirement, she maintained an active interest in business and investments. She is survived by her son, David Rice and daughter-in-law Ginny; her daughter Janet Uischner and son-in-law Donald; 3 grandsons, 4 great-grandchildren, and her loving and devoted friend, Jean Fleming. One of her happiest decisions was to donate her body to the University of Florida College of Medicine, so she could contribute to the advancement of knowledge after her death.
