Patrick John Iannone

Patrick John Iannone, 78 Lakeland - Patrick Iannone passed away peacefully July 26, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family. Patrick was born in 1934 in New York where he graduated from Power Memorial Academy, after which he served in the Army from 1956 to 1958. He relocated to Florida in 1959 where he met the love of his life, Marie. They were married in 1960 and spent 50 happy years together in Lakeland. Patrick was a production operator for the phosphate industry. He was friendly and helpful to everyone he knew. He enjoyed helping out his son at a local auction house and was a joy to everyone around him. He was an avid sports fan, especially football, baseball and golf. Christmas was one of his favorite holidays and he loved to bring home the biggest tree. He enjoyed playing cards and board games with his family. He also enjoyed golfing, boating and saltwater fishing with his family. He had a great big laugh and everyone loved him. Patrick and his wife lovingly served as foster parents at various times through the years, to a total of nine children. Patrick is survived by 3 sons, 1 daughter, 6 grandchildren, a brother and a sister. Patrick was preceded in death by his wife Marie. Both will be deeply missed and will remain forever in our hearts and memories as loving and caring family members.
