Norma Rae Whitten

Norma Rae Whitten passed away on July 25, 2014. She was born on February 1, 1925, in Lakeland, Florida, to Edgar and Ollie Fearrand. Norma was a homemaker and married to Charles Whitten for 44 years raising 3 children. She was a native of Lakeland and lived there her entire life. She loved to garden and once won the Lakeland Beautification award. Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Whitten, in 1990. She is survived by her children, Sherri Thomas, of Lakeland, Florida, Shirley (Julian) Moran, of Lakeland, Florida, and Larry Whitten, of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Audra Moran Sampino, of Dobbs Ferry, New York, Kellee Thomas Wanson, of Plant City, Florida; Great Grandson Holden Moran Sampino, of Dobbs Ferry, New York. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 5-7 pm at the Tribute Center at Heath Funeral Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
