Nelma S. Brackin

Nelma S. Brackin, 94 GTE Operator Lakeland " Nelma Scarborough Brackin, 94, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 of natural causes. She was born in Spring Field, Tennessee on August 30, 1920, to George Riggs Scarborough and Amy Hilliard Scarborough. They came to Lakeland in 1920 and lived here all her life. Nelma retired from GTE after 32 years. She was a Methodist. Nelma is preceded in death by her husband Cloyd Bert Brackin, her parents, and 2 sisters Jewel Smith, Mareitta Parsons and 1 brother Vernon Scarborough. A graveside service was held yesterday private at Roselawn Cemetery.
