Naomi Deane "Dixie" Keen

Naomi Deane ""Dixie"" Keen, 92 Naomi Deane ""Dixie"" Keen, age 92 of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at her daughter""s home in Tennessee from natural causes. She was born November 27, 1921 in Florahome, Florida; the daughter of the late Eugene F. and Hazel L. (Wistner) Fortman. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a seamstress and a homemaker. Her favorite saying was, ""Jesus loves you and so do I."" Mrs. Keen was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Mardis Keen. Surviving are daughters, Brenda (David) Wheat of Oviedo, FL., Dianne (Larry) Harfst of Lakeland, FL; Kathi (Rod) Sulouff of Winchester, TN; Linda (Bryan) Simpson of Lakeland, FL and sister, Dottie Jeffcott of Lakeland, FL; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Thursday March 13, 2014 from 5-7 P.M. at Heath Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in the chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude""s Children""s Hospital.
