Nancy Carrol Browning - Wamsley

Nancy Browning-Wamsley, 82, of Lakeland, passed away July 22, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wamsley. Nancy was born to Howard Proffitt and Grace Adams in Beckley, West Virginia on January 11, 1939. She was affectionately known by her family as Nanny and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Nancy loved making sure everyone around her was in the best of care and continued that love for care by helping take care of her grandson, Adam. She is survived by her 5 children, Robert (Terri) Browning of Texas, Ronnie (Janice) Browning of TN, Patricia (Billy) Harris of Florida, Randy (David) Browning of Florida, and Raymond (Michelle) Thogode; 2 brothers, Jack Proffitt and Tommy Proffitt of West Virginia; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Heath Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 2-4 pm with services to follow. Nancy will be buried in Georgia. Condolences may be sent to the family at kidspack.org.
