Mina Joyce Funk

Mina Joyce Funk, 84 Homemaker Lakeland " Mina Joyce Funk, 84, passed away on October 4, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to respiratory failure. She was born August 17, 1929 in Lumberport, WV to Charles and Cleo (Hoover) Wilcox. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lakeland and was a very active member in all church programs, Women""s Church United and the Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Funk. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Wasmuth, (Smokey) and Kimberly Lawson (Dr. Robert Irelan), grandson, Jeffrey Morris, granddaughters, Sonja Wasmuth and Kimberly Christine Mangus, great grandsons, David Morris, Dakota Mangus, Daniel Borneman, Brian Morris, and Brent Borneman, and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8 from 5-6:30pm with a service to follow at 6:30 pm at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL. Interment will be at Lee Memorial Park, Ft. Myers, FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in her memory to Cornerstone Hospice, 2590 Havendale Blvd., NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
