Milton J. Bassett

Milton J. Bassett, 94 Lakeland- Milton J. Bassett, 94, of Lakeland, died on June 24, 2015. He was born on September 7, 1920 in Savannah, Georgia. Milton was a veteran of the United States Army having served twenty four years, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant MSG E8 Bassett served during WWII in the Philippines, and two tours in Korea, and during peace times was stationed in Germany, Hawaii, and Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Green Bassett. He is survived by his daughter Barbara Coughenour (Frank); and two granddaughters Sarah Coughenour and Amy Coughenour. A viewing will be held on Tuesday June 30, 2015 from 9-10 A.M. with a service to follow at 10AM at Heath Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
