Michael Edward Stroh, 59 of Lakeland, Florida passed away Monday night, April 10, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Hospital. Mike was born on June 27, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Chester and Dolores Stroh. He lived in the Chicago area until 2004, when he moved to Lakeland where he resided until his passing. After high school, Mike joined the Marine Corps Reserves where he served until he was honorably discharged. Many people back home in Chicago remembered Mike as a passionate baseball coach for the Frankfort Square Little League and football coach for the Mokena Burros that many in the community had the pleasure of playing for. Mike was also very involved in church activities at Saint John Neumann where he enjoyed event planning and cooking for church picnics and fish fry events. His volunteer work at the church was always seemed to be the perfect fit for Mike, mixing his passion for food and fundraising for a good cause. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as a member of the Grand Knight Council #13907 of Saint John Neumann Church. He later became a fourth degree knight with assembly number 2546. He is survived by his wife, Deanne in Lakeland, Florida; his four children, Christopher in Commerce Township, Michigan, Megan of Willowbrook, Illinois, Kevin of Beecher, Illinois and Bridget of Frankfort, Illinois; three grandchildren; mother-in-law Carol of Lakeland, Florida; and step-children Thomas of Bartlett, Illinois, Lyndsey of Lakeland, Florida. Funeral Services will be held at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., Lakeland, Florida, 33801 with a visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2017 and a service following that evening, April 14, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
