Mianne Marie Felts

MIANNE MARIE CHONTAS FELTS LAKELAND – Mianne Felts, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 12, 2020. Mianne was born on December 8, 1925, in Manhattan, NY to Maria Barbara Chontas and Thomas A. Cassara. Her early years were spent with her loving foster parents, James and Pauline Mattenlee. Mianne married Orman Felts on August 13, 1947, in Lakeland. Mianne worked at Lakeland Christian School and Camp Gilead. She had a good sense of humor and was always ready to help someone or lend a listening ear. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mianne is survived by her husband, Orman, son, James Felts (Michiko), Lakeland; daughters Barbara Meneely (Bill), Berthoud, CO, Marcia Friend (Arland), Lakeland, and Janice Kelley, Bedford, VA; sisters, Lillian Chicorelli , Baltimore, MD, Carolyn Laskas, Woodbury, CT, sister-in-law, Joyce Chicorelli, Morris, CT, nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren and special friend, Jeannine Schwarz. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Dolan, brother, Charles Chicorelli, and daughter, Joyce Shillabeer. A memorial service will be held on January 17 at 12 pm at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingrahm Ave., Lakeland, FL.
