Mayo ""Bud"" Mott, 75 Lakeland: Mayo ""Bud"" Mott, 75, of Lakeland, died July 14, 2011 from heart failure. He was born on August 12, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. Bud was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a bailiff and crossing guard for the Polk County Sheriff""s Office. The family would like to thank the palliative care unit at L.R.M.C. for their loving care. Bud was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Mott. He is survived by his son Larry Mott (Scarlett); sister-in-law Debra Herrington; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a dear friend Mike Phillips. A memorial service will be held on Monday July 18, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Heath Funeral Chapel. Bud has requested no suits.
