Marylouise Sanborn

MaryLouise Sanborn, 90 Registered Nurse MaryLouise Sherertz Sanborn passed away from natural causes on June 25, 2014 in Lakeland, Florida. She was born in Tiger Bay, Florida on November 17, 1923 to Bert and Josephine Garcia Sherertz. MaryLouise is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Harold M .Sanborn, her parents, and her brothers Horace, Marvin and Joe. She is survived by her godchildren, cousins and many friends in Florida and Waynesville, NC where she loved spending summers. MaryLouise attended Florida State College for women and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She graduated from Gordon Keller School of Nursing in 1946 and went on to earn her BS in Biology from Florida Southern College. Nursing was her passion. She worked as an R.N. for 46 years. She also taught biology at Kathleen Senior High School and worked with her husband in their family business, Sanborn Camera Center. MaryLouise was a member of Mulberry Gray Panthers Alumnae, United States Cadet Nurse Corps, and a charter member of Nostalgia and Heirloom Antique Clubs. A longtime member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Lakeland, she served on the Altar Guild for 30 years. In Waynesville she was a member of Grace Church in the Mountains. Her service will be held at All Saint""s Episcopal Church in Lakeland on Friday June 27, 2014 at 10am followed by burial in the Homeland Cemetery.
