Mary Lou Wheeler

Mary Lou Wheeler Lakeland –Mary Lou Wheeler passed away Monday, November 5, 2018. She was born on November 25, 1952 in Roanoke, VA. She was the daughter of Norman and Geneva Mitchell, After being born in Roanoke she spent much of her life in Lakeland. She was a devoted wife and mother, an adoring grandmother and was an animal lover with pets ranging from dogs and cats to parrots, iguanas, cockatiels and who knows what else. She was particularly close to her paternal grandparents Marshall and Mary Mitchell of Roanoke. She was a longtime supporter of the Alliance for Independence with her husband Bill. She is survived by her loving husband, William Harold Wheeler, Jr.; her son, William Marshall Wheeler (Christina); her daughter, Ashley Nicole Wheeler; her brother, Mitch Mitchell (Christine) of CA; her sister, Penny Sutton of SC; her grandchildren, Landon Wheeler and one on the way, Sophia. Also, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews from FL, CA, TX, VA, and China. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 am in the Tribute Center at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801, with a funeral service at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Lakeland Memorial Gardens, 2125 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801.
