Lakeland - Mary Kuchta Morris, 89, went to Heaven to be with Jesus on Sunday March 2, 2014 due to Respiratory complications. She was born to the late Frank and Mary Kuchta, August 3, 1924 in Greensburg, Pa. Mary married Jack Morris on May 31, 1946, and they lived in PA and LA before retiring to Lakeland, Florida in 1992. Mary was the first female tailor for Sears. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Mary was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Lakeland, Florida. She loved reading her Bible and read it more than once. Mary is preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Morris Powers, and 2 sons-in law Dale Powers and Jim Bailey. She is survived by 2 daughters: Cheryl Morris Bailey of New Orleans; and Sally Morris Lemieux and her husband, Greg of S. Burlington VT; 6 grandchildren; Jennifer Powers, Erin Bailey Albanese, Adam Powers, Jill Bailey, Daniel Lemieux, and Amy Lemieux Tallman; and 6 great-grandchildren; Marissa Bailey, Logan Page, Kathryn Lachute, Brenna Page, Alexis Pion and Daniel J. Lemieux II. She is also survived by 3 sisters Rose Miller, Theresa Greenawalt and Josephine Mazzoni. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send contributions to the Alzheimer""s Association. A viewing will be held Friday, March 7 from 1-3pm with a service following at 3pm at Heath Funeral Chapel Lakeland FL.
