Mark Allen Mcquillen

April 30, 1956 — September 20, 2023

Mark Allen McQuillen, 67, of Lakeland, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2023. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Kimberly and his parents, Clarence, and Charlene of Lakeland Florida.


Mark was born on April 30,1956 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He grew up in Lincoln Park, a suburb of Detroit Michigan and moved to Florida after graduating high school.


He was the last living sibling in his family, predeceased by his elder brother Terry McQuillen, younger brother Jerry McQuillen, and younger sister Sherry Sobczak. Mark's family was central to his life, and he cherished the time spent with them, particularly fishing trips with his elder brother Terry.


Mark was a proud graduate of Travis Vocational Technical School, where he studied Auto Mechanics. This education laid the foundation.


for his career as a Diesel Mechanic, a profession he excelled in and enjoyed immensely. Mark's skills as a mechanic were not just limited to his professional life. He was known for being handy and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those who needed it, often using his mechanical skills to fix things for his friends and family.


He spent the last few years of his career at United Rentals, where he retired and was respected and admired by his colleagues for his strong work ethic, technical skills, and ability to solve complex mechanical problems.


The loss of Mark Allen McQuillen is felt deeply by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those he touched with his kindness, his spirit, and his love for life.
